SIREN – One For All And All For One

With a huge collective appreciation of classic rock, a meticulous attention to rehearsal and a protocol to collaborative writing these rockin’ So Fla teenagers are already surpassing the output of some bands twice their age. They have a new self-titled EP recorded at Jason Bonham’s studio and plans for a full length CD with tour later this year. All five sirens visited the studio to let me play two songs from the EP and invite you to a CD release party this weekend in Miami! Their maturity and rock ‘n roll intensity are equally impressive.

STU GRANT – Keeping Jazz Alive

One of my earliest influential radio voices chats about the expression, intricacy, expertise and evolution of America’s true art form. We listen to a track from his past and hear about watching live jazz in New York in the 60s. We also play a track from The Bobby Rodriquez Jazz Orchestra. Catch them live at Satchmo tonight, Mon Feb. 27! Stu is the host of this live, big band “happening” two Mondays a month. It’s just one of the many ways he’s keeping jazz alive and well! Visit StuGrantJazz.com and 880TheBiz.com for more on Stu!
