When it comes to one love and authentic Jamaican reggae, Junior Marvin is the real deal! Born in Kingston, Jamaica. he was a member of Bob Marley’s Wailers and Toots and the Maytals. He even played the tasty guitar parts on Steve Winwood’s Arc Of A Diver album. His first band was Hanson, from his real name, formed in 1973, many years before the ‘Mmm Bop kids’ were even born! In this spiritually uplifting chat, Junior remembers Master Marley with a fantastic story and shares two songs with us including his latest single, “Where Is Love”. For several decades equally highly skilled craftsman and guitarist Keith Medley had a vision of an instrument that the music in his head could be reasonably played on. Numerous modifications and 27 strings later, his masterpiece is as beautiful as the pieces he’s composed with it. He chats with me from White House, Tennessee sharing the story behind the instrument and two brilliant tracks from his CD “Ride”. What would normally take several musicians and many overdubs to create, Keith manages in one live take with one instrument!


In his 2009 documentary Rock Prophecies, filmmaker, photographer and promoter by association Robert Knight tells of his unprecedented access to all of Rock’s legends and introduces the world to gifted artists he’s run into along the way. Here he explains achieving a sort of rock stardom using his instrument, the camera. I also pick his brains for a few minutes about his other obsession, UFOs!
